I See What I See

I See What I See

This work begins with something simple: the things I see every day. No grand moments or dramatic pursuit. Just the everyday streets I walk through, the light that falls, still objects, and perhaps someone passing by.

I have deliberately photographed nature ever since I first held a camera. I learned photography by capturing nature while traveling with my family. I took my first solo trip to photograph landscapes, and to this day, all of my long-term projects revolve around nature. But of course, there is so much else out there. I have constantly encountered subtle, fleeting scenes that speak in their own way, even while working on the usual nature-focused projects.

This projects is not an attempt to see something new, or seeing something in a new way, but rather to notice and preserve what feels too easy to overlook. It’s not a thematic shift, but something that happens on the same timeline. Nothing here is urgent or spectacular. It is simply a way of acknowledging that beauty exists in the everyday. In the quiet, the ordinary, and the often-unnoticed. This series is, in the end, a favor I do for myself: to pay attention, to care, and to write down those stories. Leaving a remark that I can return to and remember. And if I’m lucky, perhaps others might see a part of themselves in it too.
